We store the information we collect on our encrypted systems or licensed systems and use it for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. You authorize GoodMatch to use or store your information in, or transfer your information to, the United States and any other country where we operate. We use your information to provide and improve the Site, the App, and the Services, for identification or authentication, for targeted online or offline marketing, for email updates, and for general research or reporting. If you provide information to GoodMatch for a certain reason, we may use the information in connection with the reason that it was provided.

We collect the following types of information:

1.1. Information you provide to GoodMatch directly. This includes the personal information you provide for your GoodMatch membership profile or account, such as your name, email, ZIP code, or other contact information. This also includes communications between you and GoodMatch. If you provide GoodMatch with your phone number, you agree to receive text messages to that number from GoodMatch. This information allows for more accurate reporting and improvement of the Site, the App, and Services. You can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level.

1.3. Analytics and Third-Parties. We may use a variety of third-party services, including analytics tools, to help provide the Services or to measure or improve the use of the Site, the App, and the Services. These third-party service providers may use tracking technologies to collect information sent by your device, and may share such information with us.

2. Information Sharing and Disclosure.

We may disclose or publish your non-personal information or non-personal information about you for industry analysis, demographic profiling, marketing, analytics, or other business purposes. We may also share your information or allow third-parties to collect your information, which may include personal information, in the following circumstances:

2.2. Public Features. We may disclose personal information about you, including: to members or social media services, depending on how you engage with the Platform. Information that is public on our platform is accessible to others both on and off the Platform; to our third-party service providers who help us to operate or improve our Platform; to authorities to comply with legal obligations or requests and to protect and defend our rights and property;  to an affiliate or successor entity or otherwise as part of a corporate transaction; among our businesses and affiliated companies; and when you direct us to share your information.

We do not sell or share information about you except as described in this Privacy Policy.

2.3. Through Our Platform. We share some of the information that we collect by displaying it on our Platform according to your member profile and account settings. Some information, such as username, is always public. Some information, such as interests, is public by default, but can be hidden on our Platform. Some information, such as group memberships, will always be visible to other members of that Meetup group, and may be public, depending on the settings of that group. We recommend that you check the group settings and what information will be available before joining the group to ensure that you are happy with the information that is visible to others. For more information, see this article on Account Privacy and Visibility and this article on Group Content Visibility.

Information that is public on our Platform is visible to others on and off the Platform.

2.4. Group Networks. If you are a member of a group, this group may now or in the future become part of a network of groups known as a “Meetup Pro” network. Members who administer a Meetup Pro network, known as “network administrators” have access to the content within their groups, including information about group participants. Network administrators find it helpful to have access to the email addresses of organizers and other members of groups within their networks, to easily communicate with and administer the groups. Therefore, we will provide ways for you to share your email address with your group’s network administrator. See this article for more information about Network Administrators, Organizers, and their Members.

You may update or modify your profile information and change your profile privacy settings at any time through your account settings.

2.5. Service Providers. We may share your information with third-party organizations that help us provide the Services to you. Our service providers will be given access to your information as is reasonably necessary to provide the Services under reasonable confidentiality terms.

The Terms and this Privacy Policy will apply to your information as transferred to the new entity. We will make reasonable efforts to let you know of the change of control before transferring your personal information.

2.7. Law and Harm. We may access, preserve, or disclose your information if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; (b) protect the safety of any person; (c) address fraud, illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect our rights or property. However, nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit any legal defenses or objections that you may have to a third-party’s request to disclose your information.
